This collection contains a single book with 29 pages of inscriptions, autographs, and verse dated between 1839-1841, from Hudson New York. The first inscription was written by Christine Best, owner of the album, and includes a color illustration and title, "Christine Best's Book Hudson July 22, 1839." Original black leather embossed boards, highly decorated; red leather spine with gilt decoration.
Lucy Bruce friendship album
A ladies album belonging to Lucy Bradbury Bruce of Worcester County, Massachusetts which contains five engraved plates, sentiments from friends and family, three calligraphy drawings, and a watercolor theorem of a rose. Most of the well wishes are signed and dated, and many include locations. Predominately the locations and many of the signers are women including two of her sisters.

This collection contains the friendship album of Rebecca Jackman. The book is roughly one-quarter of the album filled with twelve lengthy verse entries signed by friends across New England. Most of the verses appear to be original and/or tailored to Rebecca. The album itself is titled "Souvenir album," and published by J.C. Riker, New York," with several engraved illustrations throughout and some pages of pink and blue paper.

Lucia Kingman friendship album, 1835-1840, 0.03 cubic feet, a commericial friendship album with red leather binding, and blind and gold stamped decoration. There is an unused decorated title page marked "Published by J.C. Riker, No. 15 Ann Street, New York." It is filled with poems titled "To Lucia" in similar and various hands from signers in Princeton, Ipsweich, North Bridgewater, Easton, Reading, and Wellfleet.
