Scope and Contents

The collection consists of several dozen documents, 1930's, 0.015 cubic feet, including letters with Nazi postmarks, Heil Hitler signatures, visa applications, receipts, biographical sketch, genealogy publications, photographs, church documents, and printed songs and poems. Most of the letters are in German.

Biographical / Historical

Olga Doris Mylius was born in Germany in 1899. She came to America in 1931, and Richmond, Virginia in October, 1935. She was married to John W. Moore.

Charles Woodford Mylius (her cousin) was born in March 14, 1893 in Alpena, West Virginia and married Marie Virginia Ransone of Roanoke, Virginia on July 20, 1915. He established the Richmond Business School. They had two children William Ransone Mylius and Charles Woodford on May 5, 1923.

Dr. Curt P. Richter, (uncle of Olga Doris Richter) was America's foremost psychobiologist in the twentieth century. His parents emigrated to Colorado where Curt was born. His father was an engineer.
