Content Description
This collection consists of the working files of the poet and publisher Morgan Schuldt. Included are drafts of his poetry that include Schuldt's annotations and edits and thirteen hard and soft bound journals that include Schuldt's writing as well as other poetry of interest to him. Also included are documents related to his time at University of Virginia and other institutions, chapbooks, and his work for CUE and CUE editions which Schuldt co-founded.

Biographical / Historical
Poet and publisher, Morgan Lucas Schuldt passed away on January 30, 2012, from complications of Cystic
Fibrosis; he was 33 years old. The son of Barbara Schuldt and Murray Dychtwald, Morgan was born and
raised in Toms River, New Jersey. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Virginia in 2000. He earned an MFA in Poetry in 2002 and an MA in English Literature in 2007 from the University of Arizona and became an adjunct professor there teaching Poetry. Tucson became his inspiration and where he pursued a career in writing, editing, and teaching. He was the author of "Verge," (2007) a collection of poems published by Free Verse Editions, three chapbooks, and "erros" Poems, (2013) published posthumously. He co-founded "Cue" a journal of prose poems and CUE Editions, a Poetry Press. Based in Tucson, Arizona, CUE Editions is an independent micro-press that specializes in limited-edition, hand-made chapbooks by new and established poets.
His poems appeared in over thirty print and online journals, including "American Letters and Commentary," "Coconut," "CutBank," "Diagram," "EOAGH," "Fence," "Gulf Coast," "H_NGM_N," "Hotel AmeriKa," "LIT," "The Massachusetts Review," "Notre Dame Review," "Pleiades," "Sentence: A Journal of Prose Poetics," "Verse," and "West Branch." His poems were anthologized in "Best New Poets 2007" (University of Virginia Press, 2007), "The Bedside Guide to No Tell Motel" (No Tell Books, 2007), and "Prose Poetry / Flash Fiction: An Anthology" (Starcherone Books, 2006).
