Scope and Contents
The Federalist Society at the University of Virginia School of Law was constituted in April 18, 1988 as a “Contracted Independent Organization (CIO) at the University of Virginia and is associated with the national Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies.”
Their mission is “to promote awareness and debate of law and public policy issues, with particular emphasis on the principles of judicial restraint, individual liberty, and the separation of governmental powers.”
