Philip Huckabee magic square
Philip Huckabee magic square, 2014, .03 cubic feet, contains a diagram and a list of keywords taken from the Declaration of Independence with a "tree of life" pattern embedded in it and claims that it reveals ciphers associated with the Thomas Jefferson Beale treasure buried near Goose Creek in Bedford County, Va. It may also shed light on a number of ciphers found in the Jefferson/Madison papers. Included is a letter from Philip Huckabee to the University of Virginia History Department.

This collection consists of Rhys Isaac's 1987 Thomas Jefferson Memorial Lecture at the University of Virginia. The lecture is titled "The Virginia Enlightenment: Construction in Time and Space" with annotation from Isaac to Gayle Cooper, Rare Book cataloger at the University of Virginia. Also included is a letter from Isaac to Gail [sic] and a list of Sabine Hall books requested for priority cataloging.

Sussex County, Virginia plantation owner Hugh Ivey (1826; 0.04 cubic feet) names the twenty-seven enslaved persons in the body of the document to be freed; this is not Ivey's original signed copy, but rather a transcript by a county clerk made at the time.
