Scope and Contents Addition 15 of MSS 16758, the University of Virginia Collection on Childhood, Parenting, and Family Building, contains twenty-five nursery rhyme handkerchiefs. Commonly tucked into story books, these were popular children's mementos between the 1910s and the 1960s. Most handkerchiefs are illustrated in full color and have sewn and colored borders.
