Hays in Philadelphia, PA., February 20, 1838, 0.03 cubic feet, and a handwritten address and postmarks about his studies, lectures, professors, and colleagues in the fields of psychology, pathology, and obstetrics. He mentions several people by name, including a Dr. Couch, and a Mr. Hyde, whose death had recently been "in the papers".

Charles McCoy letter (1839; 0.03 cubic feet) is a six page, hand-written letter from University of Virginia student Charles McCoy about family, friends, activities at the University of Viginia, including students and professor Albert Taylor Bledsoe and professor Mankin.
Nu Charge of Theta Delta Chi fraternity photograph
This collection contains a photograph of the Nu Charge of Theta Delta Chi fraternity that appeared in the 1928 edition of Corks and Curls. The photograph was taken by Gitchell's Studio, the yearbook photographer at the time. The framing label lists a "Mr. Ruffin," who is thought to be Robert DeJarnette Ruffin, a student in the College at the University of Virginia at the time.
