George B. Eager Jr. papers

Scope and Contents

The George B. Eager collection fills only one folder and spans less than one year, 1933. As the first letter indicates, Eager solicited alumni to write to the Rector and Visitors of the University endorsing the appointment of John L. Newcomb as president. The rest of the collection is mostly letters from alumni endorsing Newcomb. Correspondence and clippings at the end of the file indicate that Eager was successful.

George Wilson and Elizabeth Dent Wilson family photos and memorabilia

This collection contains photographs of George Wilson's (Law 1920) realtives; Wilson's wife Elizabeth Dent Wilson's relatives on her mother's side, including Alabama judge Jonathan Haralson, his wife Lida, and other members of the Haralson family; and miscellaneous unidentified subjects. There is also memorabilia, including George Wilson's certificates, diplomas, and licenses, as well as Elizabeth Dent Wilson's art school diploma.

Marion K. Kellogg papers

Scope and Contents

The papers of Marion K. Kellogg contain correspondence, programs, photographs, and clippings of the Uruguayan seminar (1960) and the Bolivian seminar taught at the Law School, as well as photographs from the alumni meeting (1966). There is also one folder of correspondence with the American Bar Association Committee on International Economic Organizations from 1966-1972. Some documents are in Spanish.

McCue family memorabilia

Scope and Contents This small collection contains three documents belonging to two generations of McCues that attended UVA Law School. The first is a progress report from the University of Virginia Law Department that belonged to Edward O. McCue Sr., dated March 1, 1896. It details the absences, progress, and conduct of each student every month. His professors included Minor, Lile, Gilmore, and Dabney. The second document belonged to Eward O. McCue Jr., and is a receipt of payment, dated June 19, 1926, from...
