A. E. Hotchner and Sidney Carroll draft script for an unproduced episode of the television series "Playwrights 56" produced by Fred Coe and based on stories by Ernest Hemingway. Hotchner and Hemingway were friends and informal business partners.
The show featured small scale dramas, often set in small towns or working class city neighborhoods. Writers included Gore Vidal, Sumner Locke Elliott, and J. P. Miller.
