Nelson Nicholas to Wilson Cary Nicholas, apologizes for the twelve month hiatus in communication and explains his lapse in behavior and writing. Describes his desire to practice law in Kentucky and how he was led astray to indulge in frivolities which wasted his time, gave him a bad reputation, and embarrassed him so greatly that he did not feel that he should write.
