Identifier: ViU-2023-0013

Content Description

This addition to RG 12, University Library, includes floppy disks, CDs, microcassettes, and VHS created by and documenting the work of the University of Virginia Libraries. The floppy disks contain a variety of projects. Five of these disks include information on ergonomics initiatives. These include pictures of library workers sitting and getting up from chairs, potentially taken to show correct posture while working. Other floppy disks contain a mix of thank you letters, solicitation letters, and salutations for donors to the Alderman Society. There are also files on student training and performance plan and evaluation. The CDs contain files and pictures documenting events at the library. There are some backups of emails from Karin Wittenborg, the University Librarian from 1993-2014, and instructional videos about the library, including "Libra the Library video." Audiovisual materials include a VHS tape titled "An Introduction to a Residence Hall Library Lisa R. Wood," six audiocassettes, and two mini audiocassettes containing Administrative Council minutes from different dates. Please note that some disks could not be read and transferred.
