This item is Ed Beyer's lithograph print of Rockfish Gap and the Mountain House. The lithograph was drawn from nature in 1857. This was included in Beyer's 1858 album titled "Virginia: The Most Attractive Series of Virginia Views of the Fashionable Spas Popular in "'Anti-Bellum' Days."

Item transferred by Meg Kennedy, Curator of Decorative Arts, and Glenn Shifflett, Surplus Program Manager, 1 June 2021. An envelope taped to the back of the print had the following information " Valentine Museum- print of Lithograph view from Gambels' Hill by Ed Beyer, 1857".
