Content Description

This addition to RG 2/1/2 President's Office comprises of three letters addressed to Teresa Sullivan following her departure as President of the University of Virginia. The first was written by a representative of Governor Ralph Northam and is dated September 26, 2018. The letter outlines Northam's appreciation for Sullivan's contributions to the Entrepreneurship Investment Authority. The second letter is dated January 20, 2019, and was written by R. Brian Ball, Virginia Secretary of Trade and Commerce. The letter commemorates Sullivan's interest in serving the needs of rural Virginia. The third letter was written by Matthew McLendon, J. Sanford Miller Family Director of the Fralin Museum of Art and is dated December 21, 2018. The letter informed Teresa Sullivan of an art piece donation gifted to the Fralin in honor of her tenure as President of the University of Virginia.

Under the terms of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (Sec. 2.1-343 (4)), the records of the President or other chief executive officer of any state-supported institution of higher education are exempt from the law's access provisions. Sullivan's term was from 2010-2018; the collection will be available in 2028.
