Content Description

This addition to MSS 6478 Milton Grigg papers contains architectural drawings and project files from Milton Grigg and his architectural firm. The bulk of this addition is approximately 5,000 construction drawings and renderings from the 1930s to the 1990s. These include private and public residences and structures and reflect Griggs's specialization in church architecture, estates, restoration, and historic preservation. There are fifteen boxes of project files related to the Australian Embassy, Michie Tavern, Town of Bethany, Alexander Campbell Mansion, Gunston Hall, Lorton, VA, Lincoln/Jefferson Memorials, Museum of Frontier Culture, Miller School, U.S. Treasury, and miscellaneous files and two oversize boxes which include certificates and awards for Milton Grigg, photographs, drawings, and promotional materials. Please note that part or all of this collection is housed at Ivy Stacks, an off-site storage facility. Requests for materials housed at Ivy Stacks require at least 72 hours' notice.
