This addition to MSS 10429, Libertarian Party Papers, contains photos, correspondence, clippings, and a diary of Wade Anders Vianney primarily documenting his role as Special Assistant to Roger Lea MacBride during McBride's 1976 Libertarian Presidential Campaign. The bulk of the correspondence is from McBride to Vianney on various topics naming Vianney to the role of the Special Assistant and listing the job duties, summations of and thoughts about the campaign, a letter of recommendation for Vianney, and a personal letter regarding a shared visit to Charles Koch in 1994. There is also correspondence from MacBride to Edmund Berkley, head of Special Collections at the University of Virginia, discussing the demise of the Libertarian party. Also included are photos of MacBride, a diary maintained by Vianney documenting his daily entries while on the campaign from May 29 to November 4, 1976, clippings from student newspapers about Vianney's political experience, research on Esmont Farm, the former home of MacBride.
