This collection contains an inscribed photograph of Everett Nathan "Silent" Rattan, a deaf and mute American professional wrestler from Kansas City, Missouri. In the picture, Rattan is poised to wrestle and is inscribed, "To friend Harry Phillips. Sincerely, E. Silent Rattan, '31." Rattan was born in 1907, attended the Missouri School for the Deaf, and made his professional wrestling debut in 1923. From 1933 to 1934, he won 109 straight matches, earning him the title of World Junior Middleweight Champ. He died in 1981.
