This addition to the Edward Grimsley papers (MSS 9379) contains clippings, personal papers, letters, drafts of his editorial pages, booklets, photos, and ephemera. Grimsley (1927 -2022) was a journalist who led the Richmond Times-Dispatch editorial pages for 25 years and was an author and teacher. The collection primarily contains clippings and copies of newspapers Grimsley wrote and drafts for his column from the 1960s to 2001. The correspondence includes letters between family members, friends, politicians, and colleagues mixed with the clippings. Also included are certificates, his membership in various professional organizations, photos, and personal effects like press badges.

The oversized folder contains enlargements of columns written by Grimsley, certificates from the Common Wealth of Virginia appointing him to the Board of Visitors of William and Mary College, and a series of Metronome editorials from 1962 to 1967.
