Content Description

This addition to RG- 12/4 (University Library/ Cataloging Services)contains two University of Virginia Library annual cataloging reports. One report is a compilation of cataloging department records spanning from 1967-68 to the 1977-78 report period. The other spans from 1978-79 to the 1981-82 report period. Each entry begins with a statement from the preparations librarian, chronicling progress for that respective year. An annual report from the cataloging department lead follows this. Much of these statements across these two decades focus on "machine-readable" content introduced to the library. Progress reports for each year indicate the number of new titles, added volumes, and content withdrawn or lost.
