Harlin verifies the history of Hunter as dean, chancellor, and Professor Emeritus; discusses the pressure from alumni to fire Hunter over his support of Medicare; states that Hunter was a born leader; discusses Hunter’s personnel interactions and budget management. The interview reviews the relationships of faculty, Dean, Vice President, and administrators at U.Va.; management styles; politics and economics; enormous changes of women rights and equality.
