The Health Informatice Enhancement Program/Project (HIEP) was initiated by the Information Sciences Council in 1992 to encourage innovative informatics projects and provide grants to faculty seeking to learn and apply new technology skills to benefit their work. An appendix includes a list of projects that received HIEP Awards between 1992 and 1996.
