Scope and Contents The Duke Law Firm papers are stored in 232 boxes (108.5 linear ft.) dating from 1854-1956. They provide extensive documentation of a small-town family practice. Since the insurance business and the Dukes' family business affairs were handled in the same office as the law practice, these files have remained with the legal files.
