Elizabeth Stoddard letters to Ella Farman
Three autograph letters of Elizabeth Stoddard signed, to Ella Farman, author and editor of Wide Awake discussing the literary periodical press, payments to authors, and other matters. Written legibly in ink on three folded sheets of "E.D.B.S." (Elizabeth Drew Barstow Stoddard) embossed stationary. This collection is an addition to Elizabeth Stoddard letters in the Barrett Collection (MSS 8266, 8266-a).
Stowe grocery store ledgers
The Stowe grocery store ledgers (1870-1934; 0.4 cubic feet) document the operation of the titular family's grocery store in Petersburg, Virginia. Ledgers document monthly expenses for items ranging from rent to flour to labor. The collection also contains a small file of personal letters and bills for appliances.

Barnes, whose name is now Judith Music, describes the letters as such: “We had met in 1972 when he was on the faculty of Longwood College and I was a reference librarian there.” The dates of the letters are: 1 Letter (1973), 4 Letters (1974), 2 Letters (1978), 1 Letter (1979), 2 Letters (1980).
Pierre and Amelie Troubetzkoy letters--addition
Two letters to "Miss Wilcox," each is handwritten on a single sheet, folded (4 pages). The letters are dated 3, October, 1918, and August 27, with no year given. One letter is signed by Amélie Troubetzkoy, and the other by Pierre Troubetzkoy. The letter dated August 27th is written on Castle Hill Cobham, Albemarle Co., Virginia letterhead. The October 1918 letter has printed letterhead address "15 West 67th Street."
