Rebecca Jackman friendship album
This collection contains the friendship album of Rebecca Jackman. The book is roughly one-quarter of the album filled with twelve lengthy verse entries signed by friends across New England. Most of the verses appear to be original and/or tailored to Rebecca. The album itself is titled "Souvenir album," and published by J.C. Riker, New York," with several engraved illustrations throughout and some pages of pink and blue paper.

Sarah E. Jackson letters, MSS 16211, dated 1877, 1895, 0.03 cubic feet, from her son and his cousin who were students at the University of Virginia. They mention "the Lawn", Monticello, the Medical School, and the "Chemical laboratory which is just about completed." There is also a letter from a cousin of General Stonewall Jackson, P. Lafford, and a University of Virginia class photograph taken in front of what is now Alderman Library. (1877)

The Nunnally Johnson collection of Nathalia Crane papers (1923-1926; 0.03 cubic feet) collection contains correspondence of Nunnally Johnson relating to Nathalia Crane, a child author whose authenticity was questioned. There are 14 letters from Nathalia Crane to Nunnally Johnson; 1 letter from HM Crist to Johnson, and 1 letter from Clarence Crane. Also included is a typescript poem "The First Writer," two photographs of Crane, and one graphite self-portrait by Crane.

Susan Arabella Kennerly Johnson letter to her aunt, .03 cubic feet, 1863, about a raid by the 1st Virginia Cavalry, Company E, in which two of her brothers, John Thomas Kennerly (1837-1882) and James William (Willie) Kennerly (1843-?) participated with Fitzhugh Lee. She also mentions that two of her father's (the Reverend Samuel Kennerly) slaves were sent to Richmond to work on earthen defenses.
