The Uniform Law Commission is composed of lawyers from all of the states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. These commissioners work together to propose uniform state laws in areas where uniformity is desirable. Professor H. Lane Kneedler served as a Virginia state representative to the commission.
