Kent's store receipts and documents, 1850's, 0.06 cubic feet contain detailed documents with names, dates, and financial accounts, line items, and descriptions of goods or services rendered. Included are a Fluvanna County Sherrif's receipt which includes a tax category for "Slaves" at 60 cents each and "whites" at 40 cents each; also a medical related receipt to Mrs. Betsy Ham "To visit little negro & prescrition," for the fee of 2.00.
