George family papers
Scope and Contents
The collection (1816-1963; 1 document box) contains receipts and miscellaneous papers of several businesses owned by the George family in Charlottesville, Virginia. The papers also contain correspondence between family members and friends, including James Alexander, publisher of the Jeffersonian Republican. There are also family photographs taken by Charlottesville photographers, and several photographs of buildings and streets in Charlottesville, Virginia.
