This addition to the Warren Chappell papers (MSS 10204) contains fifty-five letters, drawings, envelopes, and manuscript notes mostly addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Ted and Leslie Jones. The content of the letter is personal and informative of Chappell's travels and adventures with Lydia, his wife, in Europe. Most of the letters include drawings. Of note is a short manuscript book entitle "Friday's Thursday " that he wrote and illustrated and is an edition of one. The book was created as a Christmas present for Joanne Sadlier Robinson in 1935. It tells the story of Robinson Crusoe's Friday finding his sweetheart Thursday and falling in love.
